CIM full and associate members awarded NSERC Discovery Grants

In the latest round of Discovery Grants announced by the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry on June 17th, McGill University received over $33 million in funding awarded by NSERC (Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada), distributed to 137 researchers.
Among them are four full members of CIM, including Jorge Angeles, Benoit Boulet, James Clark and Hannah Michalska, who each received funding for their projects over the next 5 years. Three of our associate members were also award recipients, namely Narges Armanfard, Jackie Cheung and Prakash Panangaden. Discovery grants are an important source of funding for the centre and we look forward to the results that will come from these new and exciting research projects.
